This is not a depiction of a horse carved from wood; this is the blood flowing through the veins of that deadly idea that destroyed a civilization. What we see is not a horse's body, but a river of fire. Each red line is a vein of blood to be shed, flames that will engulf the city, and the passion for revenge. The thick black lines that hold these lines together are the wooden skeleton of this deadly gift; the dark structure that carries the terrible secret and soldiers hidden within. The horse's head is like a stylized war seal. The hypnotic spiral in its eye is that fatal curiosity that draws the Trojans in; that mesmerizing lie where reason and logic are disabled. This is a mask that appears as a blessing from the gods but actually carries humanity's most ruthless plan. The textured, dark-colored rings on the left of the painting are those magnificent Troy walls that were thought to be impenetrable. They are a petrified defense that resisted brute force for years, representing the power of earth and history. And now, at the foot of those walls, this fiery entity stands, challenging them not with brute force, but with mind and cunning.
