Shahmaran: Anatomy of Colors

This is not the Shahmaran we know. This is not a queen sleeping underground; it is an idea recreated through the prism of a modern mind. Instead of presenting the legend as a whole, the artist conducts an archaeology of a monument by breaking it down into its basic colors, textures, and lines. Vertical color columns cut the canvas; each color represents an emotion, a dimension, a perspective. Shahmaran exists amongst these perceptions by passing through all of them. Her scaly body disappears behind one column while appearing in front of another. This whispers that legends have no single correct narrative, that every age and every mind sees her in a different color. Red and blue spheres represent universal dualities: Fire and water, passion and wisdom, life and consciousness. They are fundamental laws that do not change even in this fragmented universe. The most striking detail of the work is the white column on the right. Unlike the others, this column is not colorful and textured, but pure and linear. The sketch-like face of Shahmaran upon it is the beginning of everything. The artist gives us a secret here: 'Behind all these colors and textures, everything started with this simple line.' This is a journey to the essence of colors, to their most naked state.
