The artist hasn't depicted a Phoenix; he has captured on canvas the most burning moment of a soul, that second it rises from its ashes back to the sky. There are no feathers here, only tongues of flame. Every brushstroke is a scream of pain, passion, anger, and finally victory. Its body is the heart of a volcano. The deepest shades of red carry the pain of the past that has burned to ashes. Orange and yellow glimmers are the first lights of hope seeping through those ashes, the promise of a new life.
