This canvas is not a portrait of a Phoenix; it is a cross-section of the moment of rebirth, of that cosmic explosion. What we see is not a bird fluttering amidst flames and ash, but the raw energy of that moment when existence recreates itself. Red has ceased to be a color and transformed into that first, primal scream the universe lets out to renew itself. The colorful, textured vertical strips are an attempt to make sense of this chaotic energy, to categorize it. The gold strip represents the richness and value of the legend; green and blue represent its connection to nature and wisdom. These strips are the pillars of rational thought trying to bring order to the endless sea of flames. White represents its most honest, purest state. The two spheres balancing the painting are the two poles of this cycle of rebirth. The ice-blue sphere at the bottom represents the coldness of the ashes, the end, and silence. The turquoise sphere at the top is the promise of a new life, a new sky, and hope that will sprout. This work tells us that the Phoenix is not only born from its ashes but also travels towards a new beginning by passing through layers, filtering, and strengthening.
